In order to gain a better grasp of partner communities and other disciplines, various workshops around the Philippines in accordance with the collaborative project of the German Development Agency (GIZ) and SDSN-PH “Strengthening Academe-Business-Government (ABG) Partnerships to Address SDGs in the Philippines”. This project aims to raise awareness of the SDGs amongst the various stakeholders on the ground in various partner communities around the country. Taking a step further, the project also aims to provide a platform for multiple sectors and disciplines to work together in identifying local challenges, to network and collaborate, and craft contextualized solutions according to their local environments.
In order to achieve this, the SDSN PH designed a workshop strategy with the goal of being able to identify and analyze SDG-related problems in their respective localities and what the communities can do to collaborate with one another to propose initiatives or solutions for their respective SDG-related problems. These workshops have been implemented all across the country such as in Cotabato, Davao, and all around Metro Manila.
Given the progress of the workshops, there is still a lot of work to be done and a lot of partner universities and organizations to reach out to. While the final report has been released, institutions may still use the guide to the workshops that was produced alongside the report.
