Last 19 March, the SDSN-PH held its most recent Leadership Council Meeting. Eight members of the Leadership Council including the chair, Dr. Assunta Cuyegkeng and the country manager, Dr. Philip Tuaño, along with several other institutions on the council addressed matters both from previous and upcoming events of the network.
The most recent project, called “Strengthening Academe-Business-Government (ABG) Partnerships to Address SDGs in the Philippines”, which was a A collaborative project of GIZ and SDSN Philippines With support from the Ateneo Institute of Sustainability concluded in September 2020 and the final report along with the workshop guide has been produced.
On the other hand, there were several upcoming projects that were also discussed. One that has just started was the Philippine Independent Dialogue for the UN Food Systems Summit 2021. In this webinar-event, resource speakers addressed the current status of food sustainability in the country.
New initiatives and undertakings such as the Creative Solutions Competition, the ASEAN Green Deal and SDSN-PH General Assembly have also been in motion with research for the ASEAN Green Deal as well as the General Assembly on 25 June 2021.
Lastly, there is a need to address the current list of members as there are new applications as well as reelections of some of the current members in the Leadership Council.
